If you’re looking for DJs Near Montgomery Texas, we are more than happy to help you. We were recently hired to DJ at the Lodge at Mound Creek for a wedding reception. The wedding ceremony was scheduled for 3 pm. We were not hired to be a part of the wedding ceremony, we arrived there early enough to set up and be ready to go by the time the ceremony began, just in case they needed any assistance from me. You can see the bride being driven off to her wedding ceremony via golf cart at the “03:16 3 PM Wedding Ceremony Starts” Mark on the video below.

For the ceremony, they brought some PA equipment from their church and had 4 amazing singers bring the music and the voices for the beautiful wedding ceremony.

Elegante Entertainment was hired to start at 5 pm for the cocktails and the rest of the evening.

Cocktail Hour was from 5 PM to 6 PM and I pulled a Playlist from a prior wedding. I love using this playlist as it has soft Jazz and it can be used for many types of events. This is a great list, feel free to copy it or use any songs from it, it was approved by the bride and groom for some Jazz ambient during the Cocktail Hour

Dancing in the Clouds Houston Services

Our Dancing in The Clouds Service was hired to go out to The Villagio on. I was just hired to do the Dancing in the Clouds and I was able to make a great connection with the DJ at the Venue. One of the things that we always try to get the venue to do is to turn off their AC unit for the first dance of the bride and groom. It’s only one song and yes it will get a bit warm, but it’s worth it for the effect.

Elegante Entertainment is one of the leaders in the Houston and Katy area when it comes to delivering the Dancing in the Clouds or Elegante Cloud. In the video below we have two dances on the clouds, the first one is for a Quinceanera’s Father and Daughter Dance, and the Second one is for the the bride and groom’s First dance.

In this video, we were at the Alegria Gardens Reception Hall in Katy Texas, for two different events where we provided the Elegante Cloud Effect. The first one is a video of a Quinceanera Dancing in the Clouds Service and the second part is a Full Wedding Reception with multiple cameras set around the venue so you can get a full 360-degree look into the venue as the effect is done for the wedding receptions.

The clouds for the Quinceanera on the video start at the nineteen-second mark (00:19)

This was done for the Father and Daughter dance, where the dad gets the opportunity to dance along with his beloved daughter.  The Cloud effect creates a memorable effect for this dance. The photographer and videographer can take very amazing photos and make it look like they are dancing in the sky with clouds around them.

 

Dancing on a Cloud for Weddings

The Wedding part of Dancing on a Cloud begins at the one-minute and fifty-eight seconds mark (01:58).

This effect was filmed, not professionally I can add, with 2 GoPro Cameras ( GoPro 7 Black and GoPro 7 Silver), one Poco Phone, and a Xioami 4k Mini Camera on top of the Dry Ice Machine (Chauvet Nimbus). The cameras were placed in various places around the dance floor so that you can get a full 360 view of how the effect comes out when you have your first dance at your ceremonial Reception.

Recently we were hired to bring our photo booth to the Fountain View Farms. We were hired to run our Elegante Photo Booth rental for 2 hours of their wedding reception. The wedding was scheduled to start at 4 pm with the ceremony and everything was to be done by 10 pm, as the Fountain View Farm only Rents from 10 am to 10 pm on a Sunday.

We arrived at Splendora TX around 3 pm to set up the photo booth. Setting up the photo booth was easy,  they already had a designated area and I was able to squeeze our photo booth into an area approximately 8 feet by 8 feet.

2024–2025 Line Dances That Actually Work for Events

As a professional DJ for weddings, quinceañeras, and corporate events, I’ve seen many new line dances come and go. Many are fun in a dance class, but not all translate to a packed dance floor at real events. In 2024 and 2025, only three new line dances have proven themselves to get everybody moving — from kids to grandparents:

  1. Boots on the Ground: A TikTok sensation that leaped from real-world parties. The beat is infectious, the moves are easy to learn on the spot, and the energy level is perfect for keeping the floor full.
  2. A Bar Song: A beginner-friendly, four-wall dance that works in both country-themed and mixed-genre events. Guests can catch on after a few repetitions, making it a great floor-filler.
  3. “Texas Hold ‘Em” by Beyoncé: This song brought a new wave of dancers to the floor with its popular line dance choreography, making it a must-know for any country music fan.
  4. Flex by Cupid – From the same artist who gave us the “Cupid Shuffle,” Flex brings a modern groove that’s perfect for younger guests while still being simple enough for everyone to join in. It’s upbeat, catchy, and works beautifully as a fresh alternative to the older line dance staples.

? Pro DJ Tip: These dances work because they’re easy to teach, don’t alienate non-dancers, and fit seamlessly into a setlist with other wedding and party favorites like “Cupid Shuffle,” “Cha Cha Slide,” and “Wobble.”

DJ Francisco Mixing the Best Line Dances

Line Dancing is still popular, that’s why we have the Top Line Dance Songs. Whether it’s a wedding, sweet 16, Quinceañera, or holiday party, line dancing is essential at every party. Sure, some people detest having songs from the list at their event. But that’s very rare. If you were to play them at those events, the number of people dancing would most likely double.

The dances inject a bit of energy into any party. They are easy to learn, don’t require a partner, and people want to be a part of the fun. It is a win-win situation to add just a few to any wedding reception.

The Misconception

Line dances have a bad rap. People don’t want them at their parties because they think these songs are ‘Cheesy’. Some people will list EVERY song they can think of as a DO-NOT play song. The misconception is that their event will be cheesy because the DJ will play every song on this list. Most professional DJs will only play the songs to add some life to the dance. In a situation where the dancing has died down, it’s great for a DJ who can reach into his bag of tools and pull out one of these songs to add more energy to the party.

Hire a DJ that will respect your Playlist

When are they appropriate to play?

My approach depends on the situation. I believe that they can be played back-to-back. Some DJs will disagree.

Why Play 3 of the Top Line Dances Back to Back to Back

My position is that sometimes playing two or three songs back to back gets people to the dance floor and keeps them there for some time. In my observations, from past events, playing them and then switching to a similarly styled song, for example, playing the cupid shuffle and then playing Usher’s Yeah Song, will result in more people leaving the dance floor. In contrast, playing The Cupid Shuffle, and then playing the Wobble or the Cha Cha Slide, or all three back to back to back, will result in a greater number of people staying to dance.

Why Play over 3 of The Top Line Dance Songs in Sequence

There are a couple of occasions where I would encourage playing 4-10 songs back to back. This will not work every time, and this will not work at every event. It’s a feeling the DJ will get. Also, not all DJs will do this for fear of being considered a bad DJ. One of the reasons to play over 3 of the Top Line Dance Songs is that there will be an event called “La Hora Loca” or The Crazy Hour.

La Hora Loca or The Crazy Hour will revive any party. Most of the Top Line Dance Songs in the List are played back-to-back. This causes people to be present on the dance floor for over 30 minutes. Sometimes, put to an Hour; a Crazy Hour. One sample playlist will be as follows: The Cupid Shuffle, The Wobble, The Cha Cha Slide, The Copperhead Road, The Conga (line), The YMCA, Macarena, and The Git Up. Disclaimer: This playlist will not work with every event, but it’s just an example of one that can work for several events. Your mileage will vary.
