- Sugar – The Archies
- Can’t Help My Self – Four Tops
- ?
- Song for the Bouquet Toss: Chapel of Love by the Dixie Cups
- Songs for the rest of the evening.
- There were no songs for dancing.
3. Challenges Faced and Solutions Implemented
- Challenge #1 I, as the DJ, had very little direction on where to go with the music. The only request was “…Just something soft).
- Challenge #2 There was no actual timeline sent to the DJ so I arrived with a basic idea of the Ceremony starting at 6 pm and that’s all.
- Challenge #3 There was a question of whether or not there was going to be dancing by the guests and if so what songs to play.
- Challenge #4 Picking a song for their grand entrance, only 10 minutes before they enter the reception area.
4. The Ceremony: Creating an Elegant and Emotional Atmosphere
- The Ceremony was upstairs on the 2nd floor of the venue
- I took my Ceremony Sound System, which includes a Speaker, a Laptop for Music, wireless lapel mic for the Officiant.
- Music for the ceremony was Instrumental music by the Vitamin Strings Quartet
- The bride and groom selected 3 songs
- One song for the Groom and Bridal Party
- One song for the bride
- One song for exiting the Ceremony
5. The Reception: Keeping the Energy
Keeping the energy was achieved by selecting a playlist that had some typical wedding love songs. You can’t go wrong with a little Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Michael Buble. That Playlist is linked to above in the Elegante Wedding Timeline labeled playlist for dinner.
There was no dancing at this event so keeping the energy was a little difficult without any idea of what type of music they liked. I just relied on my previous experience and chose the playlist that I thought best fit the guests.
6. Special Moments and Highlights

- Special Moments of the night were when the bride and groom said their “I dos” and their walk out of the ceremony.
- The Bride and Groom’s Entrance into the reception was also a very emotionally packed moment of the night.
- The Bride and Groom’s Cake cutting was done with the bride and groom surrounded by friends and family.
- The songs for the cake
- The Bouquet toss was also a family favorite with the single ladies gathering around the bride as I counted her down and she tossed the bouquet.
7. Client Feedback and Final Outcome
At the end of the night, the bride and groom were very grateful and thanked me. They enjoyed the music and the announcements from me as the MC.
The overall event went well, the music selected fit perfectly with the bride and groom’s friends and family, and some were singing the songs as they played over the air.
The Bouquet toss was initiated because I started playing the song “Chapel of Love” and the bride decided to use that song as her Bouquet toss song because she loved it.
Working with the wedding planner was such a delight. I would recommend her to my clients.
