Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared their plan to step down
In January, Prince Harry and Meghan made their bombshell announcement – a plan to step down from their royal duties and split their time between the UK and North America. When Queen Elizabeth called a meeting to determine the details, it was ultimately decided that the Sussexes should not be granted a half-in / half-off arrangement as their last official day of royal duties was set on March 31st.
At the time, Prince Harry noticed during a speech that he and Meghan were disappointed with the result but had to make this drastic decision.

An insider who knows the Sussexes, DJ Fat Tony, who provided entertainment during their wedding reception at Frogmore House, believes people’s jealousy of Prince Harry and Meghan forced them to move to the United States
“It’s typical of the way we are in this country – we build people and then try to destroy them,” the DJ told The Mirror. “God forbid they wanted to lead their own lives.”
DJ Fat Tony continued, “I think it’s human nature to be jealous. We shoot down things that we don’t understand. And with Harry and Meghan, nobody understands what was going on – it’s all speculation and they never talked about it. So it says, “Let’s hate her.”
He also announced that he supports the Sussexes’ decision to move. “If you do something that you don’t love and that you don’t like to do, don’t do it. There is always another option, ”he explained.

The writing appeared to be on the wall in 2019 as Prince Harry and Meghan shared how negative media attention was affecting them. In interviews for the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Trip, each of them spoke about how life in the spotlight was not without its challenges.
Meghan said during an interview that her friends had warned her not to marry Prince Harry because the tabloids were under attack. “The biggest thing I know is that I never thought this was going to be easy, but I thought it was fair and that’s the part that is really hard to reconcile,” she said at the time.
