Today is Friday December the 28th, it is about 3:45 PM on a sunny afternoon. I type as I wait for someone to open the doors of the reception hall where I will be performing tonight.
This is an event that I was given by Beth Flores at Elegant Linens, who does Linens and Event Coordination as well as wedding and quinceanera packages. My services are part of that package and the other companies that are part of her packages is Eddible Designs by Jesse, Mascorro Photography and Video, and Mario’s Catering Service. This is going to be my first time working with Mario, Second Time with Eddible Designs, and Second time working with Mascorro’s Photography and Video.
The Place is called Iram’s and it is located in Pasadena Texas, by Burke and Pasadena Blvd. As I type the streets are under constructions so I imagine that later on there will be a lot of traffic coming through and building up. Typical of Houston.
Tonight’s event, is a quinceanera, and like any quinceanera it is geared more towards the entertainment of the younger kids. They do have a live band to cater to the older adult crowd which. The name of the band id Grupo Enlace.
This one is going to last until 2:00 am so I know I am going to be feeling it in the morning, especially since I have a 9:00 am appointment.

This is a busy time of year, I am only a one man team and I am as busy as can be. Sometimes I wish there was two of me I usually try to post one article per week minimum and lately I just cannot find the time to do so. This is probably the busiest month of the year for us entertainers. Last week I had a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday event. F
rom my high ranking in the search engines (DJ In Houston: Google), I’ve had calls for more work on those days but obviously there is no way I can take those other events unless I train somebody to help me out and they would end up doing those events. It’s a thought as the new years is just around the corner. I think that for last Saturday, December the 8th, I’ve had about 6 people call and inquire about it. I actually booked 3 and 2 canceled. Of course I did not book them all at once, I would book 1, then they canceled, and the second one also booked and canceled. The third one was the charm
