Be your own Wedding DJ… ?! |

The recent trend, in saving money, is that brides decide to be their own Wedding DJ. Here are a few articles that tackle that subject.
- Have Ipods made DJs Obsolete?
- The new wedding singer: iPod
- Would You trust an Ipod to DJ your Wedding?
- DJing Yourself. Sort Of.
The short and sweet of it is these articles can be separated into pros and cons:
Pros
- You Will Save money
- You will be in total control of what is played in your wedding
- You will not have an “eye-sore” set-up that some DJ’s command
- You do not have to deal with the arrogance of some DJ’s
- Nobody will be telling you how you should run your wedding
- You will know if something goes wrong with the music and will be in total control of diagnosing and fixing the situation in a timely fashion.
- You can choose who will be in cotrol of playing the music
Cons:
- You do not save that much money, You still have to rent the equipment, which can run about half the cost of the actual DJ and in some cases as much as a DJ costs
- You have to purchase your own music and songs are approximately $1 each in some services, and for a 4 hour wedding you need approximately 100 well planned songs.
- You have to spend extra time organizing and planning the music to be played at your wedding
- You will have to spend extra time hunting for the songs that cannot be found online
- By being in total control you will be more focused on the music than on attending or visiting with your guests
- You may get frustrated and think, “I should of just hired a DJ”
- You will have to choose somebody to do the presentation, and if they do not do it on a weekly basis, their nervousness will show, taking just a little bit of elegance in your wedding
- The person you chose to run your ipod might end up playing some of the songs you do not like, but he does. There are some family members that just love to irritate people.
- I’ll stop there…
The main driving force for brides to choose the Ipod DJ over the Conventional DJ, especially here in Houston, is the illusion that they are going to save tons and tons of money. And if you do any proper-prior-planning you will see that in the end you might end up saving approximately $100 Dollars. However, you increase the chances of something going wrong in your wedding. My recommendation would be just hire a DJ, Spend the extra money, and be assured that everything will be PERFECT. You don’t want to see yourself thinking, “I Should of just hired the DJ”

Webcast - Wedding Service that will make it’s way into Houston |
Source: USA Today
“Everybody doing weddings now has a videographer, and most (venues) have Internet access, so we thought it was a great marriage, if you will,” says Ariel Andres, whose Dallas-based webcastmywedding.net started offering virtual vow-swaps last year.
This company is based out of Dallas, so it is not too far from Houston. Maybe if you are really interested in this service, they could make the drive here and film your wedding in Houston so that your family members in other areas, States, or countries can watch your wedding, live and not miss a thing. Great benefit for older people who want to see their grandchildren get married and cannot travel.

Wedding Limousines - Questions to ask when hiring wedding transportation |
This article is good because it covers all the questions you should ask your limo company, after all they are a big part of making sure that everything comes out acoording to your planned schedule.
- Don’t rely on price quotes over the phone. Go see the Vehicles and make sure that is the Vehicle coming that day. (Avoid False promises and Information)
- Ask how many years the vendor is in business and if they are a member of the Better Business Bureau or Consumer Affairs?
- Does the wedding vendor provide their own vehicles, or is another company providing the vehicles?
- What is the year of the Vehicle you will be using, and are they properly licensed and insured? (e.g. in New York, any vehicle over 15 passengers should be licensed with the Department of Transportations. A D.O.T. sticker should be displayed on the window. Also, make sure that the operator is properly licensed to drive that size vehicle. He/She should have a CDL license and a 19A certification from D.O.T.)
- Are the Vehicles equipped with GPS Navigation System?
- Make sure the contract includes all necessary information, and that the company does not require a large deposit. Once the company has your money, there is not much you can do the day of your wedding if they do not show.
- What are the contingency plans if a Vehicle breaks down that day?
- What beverages are stocked in the Limousine?
- What are the vendor’s hiring practices for screening Chauffeurs? Are they professionally trained?
- Do the Chauffeurs coordinate the activities with the Bridal Party, Guests, and Photography Personnel?
- Are the Chauffeurs attired for the wedding?

Houston Wedding DJ and Houston Quinceañera DJ (Fantastic job planning) |

How do you get your website ranked high by all the search engines?
That is a million dollar question that most of us, regular (business) people, would love to know the answer to. Hopefully the steps that I am about to give you, help your personal or business website rank high on the search engines.
To prove this concept of mine here is how my website ranks. In just 4 short months I have established it at the top of the search engines: (True as of 07/12/2006)
“Houston Quinceañera DJ” (#1 Yahoo!)
“Houston Wedding DJ” (#2 MSN)
“Houston Quinceañera DJ” (#1 MSN)
“DJ in Houston” (#9 Yahoo!)
“Houston Wedding DJ” (#12 Yahoo!)
“Houston DJ” (#17 Yahoo!)
“Quinceanera in Houston” (#15 Yahoo!)
“Houston DJ” (#13 MSN)
“Quinceanera Vals Songs” (#1 MSN)
“Things i will need for my Quinceanera” (#2 MSN)
“Quinceanera Songs” (#2 MSN)
“Houston Quinceañera DJ” (#3 Google)
This is not a trick!!! You can see for yourself if you type in the words, without the quotations into the specified search engine (links to the search engine are provided and will open a new window). Hopefully this gives you and idea of how effective and critical these steps are to follow. And let me take a quick second to pat myself on the back for a job well done, after all I think I deserve it :).
I have learned a few things during these past for months, for one, hard work pays off in anything you do. I have seen the results of hard work in both my DJ work and now I am seeing it here on my website. There truly is no substitute for hard work. This can easily be compared to farming, if you own a farm, you have to plant the seeds of your fruit, water and fertilize the seeds, and in due time, the seeds will give you a fruit ( as well as more seeds to plant ).
Additionally, I have surpassed the other TOP Houston DJ Companies such as:
Wouldn’t you like to gain these benefits for your business or for your own personal website? Sure you do.
