This is what a Houston wedding looks like amid a pandemic: social distancing and everything

When couples throughout Texas cancel or postpone their weddings within the wake of the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, a Houston couple tied the knot whereas observing state restrictions on gatherings and enterprise.

On Saturday, Houston residents Tony Huang and Jessica Rose Stine had been married at First Colony Church surrounded by seven of their family members, underneath Governor Greg Abbott’s ordinance that restricted public gatherings to 10 individuals. Utilizing Zoom, greater than 60 members of the family and pals of the couple streamed the marriage remotely.

Within the face of those unexpected cancellations, challenges, and restrictions, the couple modified all the format of their marriage ceremony and insisted on celebrating their love for each other amongst household and pals in each doable manner.

Huang’s buddy, one of many companies attending the occasion in individual, held the laptop computer that was used to stream the ceremony.
