A Penndel man is on trial in a district court for sexually abusing several boys in Lower Bucks.

However, several charges against 57-year-old Louis Aiello were dropped after an alleged victim failed to testify during Aiello’s preliminary hearing on Friday.

His accusations of aggravated indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, indecent assault of anyone under the age of 13, and indecent assault of anyone under the age of 16 who dealt with the alleged victim who did not testify, have been dismissed by presiding District Judge Michael Gallagher.

Aiello continues to face several other criminal offenses, including child rape, legal sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault on anyone under the age of 13, and multiple offenses including underage corruption and indecent exposure.

Aiello is being held in Bucks County Jail in lieu of 10% of the $ 1.4 million bail. Louis Busico, Aiello’s attorney, said Aiello was keeping his innocence.

Falls police charged Aiello, a wedding DJ, in June after two alleged victims came forward. He was initially charged with molesting two boys, but later charges were brought after more alleged victims came forward.

On Friday, a suspected victim testified that he met Aiello at a wedding around 2007. The boy was 13 years old when Aiello started abusing him, he said. The abuse happened over a period of years, he said.

The abuse began when the victim injured himself on a dirt bike at Aiello’s and testified when Aiello went to clean the boy’s wounds he sexually assaulted him.

One alleged victim testified that he, then 10 years old, and his teenage brother Aiello watched a sexual act in front of them in his trailer in Bensalem in 1993 or 1994.

“Even when you’re 10 years old, you know that’s weird,” he testified.

He testified that he decided to come forward after seeing an article about the initial charges against Aiello.

“That’s when I decided to have a voice,” he said.

Another alleged victim testified that Aiello, a family friend, exposed himself to him in a house in the mid-2000s. He was watching a cartoon in Aiello’s house on Rumpf Avenue when Aiello, who asked if he could change, reportedly approached the boy.

“He was completely naked and asked me, ‘What do you think?'” He testified.

The alleged victim said he asked if Aiello was referring to the cartoon and Aiello then left.

Another alleged victim testified that Aiello, a then family friend, molested him between 2001 and 2007. Most of it happened at Aiello’s house, but once at his house in Falls, he said.

Two of the alleged victims who testified said there was another boy who was also mistreated, but that person did not testify on Friday. Charges related to this victim have been dismissed.

Busico argued that without this alleged victim’s testimony, all evidence would be hearsay.

When asked why the alleged victim did not testify, Assistant District Attorney Sarah Heimbach said the victim was absent during the hearing but declined to elaborate.

The prosecutor’s office is asking anyone who may have been Aiello’s victim to call Falls Police Officer Stephen Reeves at 215-949-9100.

Aiello is due to be formally indicted on December 4th on his charges.
