Create a do-not playlist for your wedding DJ

At a wedding reception, it is always necessary that you play the right kind of music. In any type of event or celebration, music plays an important role in raising the mood and liveliness of the occasion. In this context, it is always important to play the right music that really fits the event and improves the overall mood. When considering providing music to your group, you should have a clear idea of ?? the type of music you will be playing. It is always good to make a list of the songs you don’t play and tell the disc jockey not to play such tracks.

Well, first things first, one of the basic things to keep in mind when making a list of unplayable songs is to see if the tracks really match the event. If it is a formal event, all hideous and cheesy numbers should be avoided. In fact, in most communities, a wedding is a formal event and has religious associations. Hence, it is always advisable that you provide your wedding DJ with a playlist with no songs that would embarrass you. Playing trite tracks will completely degrade the mood of the party and make it a very cheap one. If the music is more or less casual, the song list may include some popular titles, but again that should completely coincide with the vibrancy of the event and not surpass it in any way.

Likewise, playing dry and drab tracks at a party is not acceptable. A wedding is supposed to be a social and happy affair, and playing some melancholy tracks will make it too boring and get the guests to sleep. Hence, the list of non-playable songs you present to your DJ should include dry and somber numbers as well. Instruct your disc jockey not to play these titles as they will completely spoil the event and render it unusable.

Ideally, the music you play should be a combination of retro and some current popular tracks. They should be soft or upbeat and contain 99% recognizable songs that people are familiar with.

Always remember that music is a key element in making your party a memorable one. If you do it right, you will surely deserve awards from guests.
