A few days ago I made a short post about the New Bell Tower on w34th street. Today I decided to see if I could fin a website or anything else where I could post some information about the venue. I imagine if they attended the Houston Bridal Extravaganza Show in July, they would more than likely have a website up and running, and they sure do.

First place I found them was in Bride.com and after that it lead me to their actual Bell Tower on w34th Street website where they just have a flyer letting people know they will be open for business soon.

Houston Bridal Extravaganza Show, January 10th – 11th, 2009

The Houston Bridal Extravaganza Show

The Bridal Extravaganza Show in Houston will be held in a few weeks, from the writing of this post. I used to attend and believe it’s one of the largest shows in the Greater Houston Area.

There you can find ANY and ALL vendors that you may still need to book for your event. Best of all, you don’t have to travel anywhere to see, meet, and get to know your vendors. Well, I don’t know about getting to know them, but you will at least get a taste of their personality and their services.

I would encourage any bride to visit the Bridal show if they still need to book anything for their wedding. This is not only for brides, when I atteneded I got A LOT of enquiries for Quinceañeras and Sweet sixtheens.

On a Side note, January is probably the month where most new brides, and some of the ones that procrastinated, start booking their vendors. So just because a vendor told you that he is available for your, that does not mean they will be available two weeks after your initial inquiry.

But the fact that I am a bilingual Latino DJ means that even those few guests that speak the other language, will be entertained as well.

Houston Bridal Extravaganza Show – July 2008

The Houston Bridal Extravaganza Show for July will be held on Saturday July 19th and Sunday July 20th at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

On their web page, the Houston Bridal Extravaganza Show states that you will find “Everything You Need.”

I have to agree with that statement. You will find these vendors:

  • Disc Jockeys
  • Wedding and Grooms Cakes
  • Photographers
  • Reception Sites / Venues
  • Linens
  • Tuxedo Rental
  • Videography
  • Bridal Consultants
  • Caterers
  • Flowers

and a lot more. If you need it, you’ll find it there. It’s covers a great part of the George R. Brown, and you know how BIG that is.

This July I will not be able to have a booth there, but I do plan on visiting just to see what’s new. I’ve got a busy weekend with two weddings and I will have just come back from my vacation. I will have a booth in the January show, however.

My best advice is to go early, wear tennis shoes, set an appointment with a spa (j/k), but you will be tired from walking, PRINT OUT A LOT OF LABELS; include Name, Wedding Date, Email Address, Phone Numbers and that should be all that you need to provide, have a game plan (what do you need to book, what are your needs, requirements, expectations, etc..), be ready to book.

Most vendors offer great prices in order to book a lot of their open dates. It’s great because you can shop around, compare prices, book and save… all in one location. No gas wasted, no time wasted driving, nothing like that, just find what you need compare it with a few other vendors, get a great discount and get done with it!
